Lane Closures Scheduled For Palisades Interstate Parkway

There will be overnight lane closures on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland for maintenance activity in the area.

The New York State Department of Transportation released an alert on Thursday cautioning motorists that beginning at 8 p.m. on Sept. 6 through 3 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, there will be lane closures in both directions between exit 8W (Route 59) and exit 9W) (I-287).

During the construction and lane closures, motorists can expect delays and have been advised to seek alternate routes when possible. Flaggers are expected to be posted in the area to assist with the flow of traffic during the project.
